Even if that person who you followed back today will NEVER hire you, at the very least, they'll know something about you and may forward your information to someone else that does need it.Gerry Wendelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03536057586735422743noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1025859277798556025.post-90705319397928527952011-12-31T11:05:08.710-08:002011-12-31T11:05:08.710-08:00Twitter is most definitely a numbers game. Sales, Marketing and building community is about generating the largest amount of awareness possible for your message and motive. If you think that Twitter is not about numbers ask anybody that has over 5000 followers if they'd be willing to dump all of them and start from scratch :) @patrickallmondpatrick Allmondhttp://justaskpatrick.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1025859277798556025.post-59539959341829095042011-12-31T10:47:57.888-08:002011-12-31T10:47:57.888-08:00Barbara...yes, there are people on Twitter for pur...Barbara...yes, there are people on Twitter for pure enjoyment. And I enjoy it as well, however, since I'm self-employed in the marketing arena, it's also a matter of "have to". I have met some incredible people on Twitter (and then went on to meet many in person)...and several have become life-long friends.Gerry Wendelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03536057586735422743noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1025859277798556025.post-67284129393411010472011-12-31T05:16:51.723-08:002011-12-31T05:16:51.723-08:00Good article to a point. I have been on Twitter since March 2009 and my friends have seen me through a lot of illness and were always there praying for me, giving hope when I felt hopeless. I am not selling anything other than encouragement, joy,, and God, not necessarily in that order. I use Tweepi to delete people who are essentially gone from Twitter.BarbaraDukehttp://thoughts-of-pink.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1025859277798556025.post-52900417711308064532011-12-30T06:52:09.658-08:002011-12-30T06:52:09.658-08:00Great info Gerry!Great info Gerry!Shannon Grissomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11857888383546756936noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1025859277798556025.post-23176586058791318202011-12-29T17:03:11.443-08:002011-12-29T17:03:11.443-08:00Yes, for sure. If I used the numbers game I would have missed them completely. Great points Gerry! LisaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02977153179270221758noreply@blogger.com
